About the event
After completing fifteen editions held in the last seven years, the International Benchmarking Solid Waste Portugal, promoted by 
, consolidates itself in the international market of environmental events as a unique and revealing experience.
Aiming to provide networking and knowledge exchange for professionals in the sector, Brazilian companies, and public agencies, during six days, the event promotes an immersion in the evolution of the environmental sector in Portugal while participants enjoy the local beauties.
The innovations in the area of sanitation and waste management will be explored, from planning, business model, environmental control and licensing to operational infrastructures, regulation of concession contracts, and consolidated technologies. All of this taking into account the particularities of each case, such as the political, economic, and geographical context of each territorial and population arrangement.
The Solid Waste Benchmarking will
- Present successful experiences, advances, processes, and environmental solutions adopted in Portugal focusing on sanitation, management, treatment, and recovery of waste;
- Carry out a series of technical visits to operational infrastructures of excellence;
- Promote technical debate among Brazilian and Portuguese specialists in the environmental, sanitation, waste, and environmental technologies sectors;
- Learn about the Portuguese experience and evolution in terms of innovative environmental technologies;
- Encourage exchange and networking among professionals, specialists, public and private managers linked to public policies and environmental businesses.

Event organization
LAVORO is responsible for all planning, organization, and production of the event, which includes:
- Carrying out technical visits and workshops according to the Program;
- Scheduling B2B meetings with Portuguese companies and institutions of interest;
- Accompaniment of the LAVORO support team throughout the program;
- Accommodation in a single room with breakfast from June 11 to 17, 2023;
- Meals mentioned in the official Program;
- Executive transportation with qualified driver during the technical program.

Official Program
The registration fee for the Official Program (11 to 16/06) is 3,950 euros.
It includes participation in the workshop, lectures, bilateral meetings, and the set of technical visits; ground transportation, lodging (11 to 17/06), and meals according to the Program.
Small groups, companions (children and spouses), and participants from previous editions of Benchmarking have discounts and special conditions.
