Benchmarking Switzerland

The bilateral approach initiative Benchmarking Internacional Solid Waste Switzerland, promoted by LAVORO in partnership with Swissenviro and with the support of Swiss Business Hub Brazil, is consolidated in the international market for holding environmental events as a unique, intense, exclusive and revealing experience.

With the aim of providing the best networking and knowledge exchange for professionals in the sector, companies and Swiss public bodies. For a week, the event will promote an immersion in the evolution of the environmental sector in Switzerland, especially in the area of solid waste, at the same time that participants enjoy the local cuisine and the beauty of the country.

Innovations in the area of sanitation and waste management will be explored, from planning, organization, business model, structuring of concessions and PPP, public consortia, environmental control, monitoring and licensing, to operational infrastructures, management of specific waste flows, selective collection, reverse logistics, recycling, regulation of concession contracts, tariff modeling and consolidated technologies.
All this taking into account the particularities of each case and the political, economic and geographic context of each territorial, cultural and population arrangement.

For a week, the event will promote an immersion in the evolution of the environmental sector in Switzerland, especially in the area of solid waste, at the same time that participants enjoy wine gastronomy and local beauty

Objective

Present successful experiences, advances, processes and environmental solutions adopted in Switzerland with a focus on sanitation, management, treatment and recovery of waste;
Carry out a series of technical visits to excellent operational infrastructures;
Promote technical debate between Brazilian and Swiss experts in the environment, sanitation and waste sector;
Learn about Swiss experience and developments in terms of innovative environmental technologies;
Stimulate exchange and networking between professionals, specialists and public and private managers linked to public policies and environmental business.

Organization

is responsible for all planning, organization and production of the event, which includes:

Carrying out technical visits and workshops according to the Program;
Scheduling B2B meetings with Swiss companies and institutions of interest;
Monitoring of the LAVORO support team throughout the program;
Accommodation in a single room with breakfast;
Meals mentioned in the official Program;
Executive transport with qualified driver during technical programming

Luís Marinheiro is an environmental engineer, master in biological engineering, Global Market Director at AST Ambiente and partner at LAVORO Solutions, and has a national and international professional career spanning more than 25 years in the fields of circular economy and sustainability, planning and governance environment, integrated waste management and the treatment and recovery of water and effluents.
